How platform fees, payment methods and refunds work.
AGRADEHOMETUITION · LEGAL
Payment Policy
Platform fees, payment methods, and refund rules. Effective August 29, 2026.
How much is the platform fee?
For long-term tuition assignments, the teacher is required to pay 30% of the first month’s agreed salary once the tuition assignment is secured, while for short-term tuition assignments, the teacher is required to pay 20% of the agreed fee once the tuition assignment is secured..
What does the fee cover?
A one-time commitment deposit supporting platform operations, quality assurance, and admin services — not a recurring charge.
Does AgradeHomeTuition handle ongoing monthly salary?
No. Beyond the initial platform fee, salary payments are a private arrangement directly between parent and teacher.
How can I pay the platform fee?
Bank transfer/direct deposit, using (eSewa, etc.), or any other method made available on the platform.
Is my payment information secure?
Payments are processed through trusted third-party payment processors; AgradeHomeTuition doesn't store your full payment credentials.
I cancelled the tuition myself — do I get a refund?
If you (the teacher) cancel — before or after the demo class — for personal reasons, distance/location issues, or scheduling conflicts on your end, the platform fee is non-refundable.
I did the demo class, but the parent rejected me — do I get my money back?
If you conduct the demo class and the client decides not to proceed, you're entitled to a 100% refund of the platform fee.
The client cancelled before any demo class happened — what then?
If the tuition is cancelled by the client or the company before a demo class takes place, and it isn't your fault, you get the full fee back.
What if the listing details were wrong or misleading?
If you discover after the demo class that key details were misleading, incorrect, or incomplete — class level, board, subject, salary, or timing — you're eligible for a full refund.
| Teacher cancels (personal reasons, distance, scheduling) | No refund |
| Teacher attends demo, client rejects them | Full refund |
| Client/company cancels before demo (not teacher's fault) | Full refund |
| Listing info was misleading/incorrect (found post-demo) | Full refund |
How does AgradeHomeTuition decide refund disputes?
A four-step process:
- The admin team reviews the parent's complaint alongside the teacher's response.
- Both sides may be asked for supporting evidence (session logs, communication records, etc.).
- A decision is made within 3-7 business days of the complaint being raised.
- The platform's decision on refund eligibility is final.
How long does it take to receive an approved refund?
Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days to your original payment method. AgradeHomeTuition isn't responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors.
Can I dispute a payment issue outside the standard complaint process?
Yes — payment-related disputes can be raised at payments@agradehometuition.com.np (or support@agradehometuition.com.np) within 7 days of the transaction, and the platform will respond within 5-10 business days.
What happens if I file a false or exaggerated refund claim?
- Immediate and permanent ban from the platform
- Forfeiture of the platform fee with no right of appeal
- Possible legal action where applicable
Can parents also be penalized for bad-faith complaints?
Yes. Parents agree not to make false or malicious complaints to manipulate the refund system. Baseless or repeated vexatious complaints may result in restricted platform access for the parent.
